Senior Celebrations & Updates

To the Class of 2020,

We appreciate your understanding that many of the decisions made about events for the Class of 2020 are dependent upon guidance we have and will receive from our leaders and health officials. The safety and well-being of our students, faculty, families, and community is everyone’s top priority and must be considered when planning and holding events.

This letter is to share with you the status of several traditional end of year events as well as some new ways of celebrating! We want you  to know that the entire staff at Lakeview High School has been thinking of you during this unprecedented time. While this situation has presented challenges for everyone, I know the Spartan Class of 2020 will persevere. You have worked hard during your years at Lakeview and we  want to honor and celebrate your efforts as we are able.

All seniors must still meet all Michigan Merit Curriculum requirements for graduation including the number of credits earned and satisfactory completion of all required courses. If you have questions regarding your status for graduation, please email your guidance counselor.

Senior Awards:  4.0 and above students have been asked to return information to Mrs. Drikakis ASAP. This will be published and shared on Lakeview websites, newspapers and social media sites.  Top 48 information  and special awards will be in a special edition of the Shopper News on May 21st.

We have tried to address as many questions and concerns as possible.  Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. These decisions are difficult to make under the current circumstances.  We are working diligently to support you as we look forward to celebrating the Class of 2020 all together or separately if necessary!

Sincerely,

Susan Cheadle-Holt
Principal
