About Our Program

At Lakeview, PreK is more than preparing children for kindergarten. It's the beginning of an educational journey where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow from their very first day of school through high school graduation.

Our free PreK program for 4-year-olds includes:

• Full-day PreK (Monday–Thursday)
• Affordable after-school and Friday care available
• Transportation available for Lakeview residents
• Classrooms conveniently located inside Prairieview and Riverside Elementary Schools
• FREE Breakfast, lunch, and snack provided
• Qualified early childhood education teachers
• Utilizing Creative Curriculum
• 10:1 student-to-adult ratio

Enrolling in Preschool

Step 1 - Complete a GSRP PreK application through helpmegrowcalhoun.org. Please upload proof of income.

Step 2 - Complete a Lakeview School District enrollment application in Skyward.

Step 3 - Provide the following required documentation. Documentation may be uploaded to your child's Skyward account or through their Help Me Grow Calhoun profile.

• Certified Birth Certificate
• Immunization Records
• Physical/Health Appraisal (completed by a physician)
• Proof of Residency
• Parent or Guardian ID
