Biography
Hi, my name is Cody Japinga.  I am currently in my tenth year of teaching at Lakeview High School in the Social Studies department.  This year I am teaching both US History and American Government.  I am also on the varsity football coaching staff this fall.  

I graduated from Holland High School in 1999 and went on to Western Michigan University. I graduated from Western in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Social Studies.  I did my internship here at Lakeview in the spring of '03 and was hired in for the 2003-2004 school year.  I also completed a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership last summer.

In my spare time I enjoy doing anything sports related.  A lot of my spare time is spent coaching and working with athlete's in the weightroom.  I also enjoy cheering for Michigan State, and any sports team from Detroit.  I love being outdoors and enjoy camping and hiking.  The picture to the right is at the top of Cadillac Mountian in Acadia National Park.
