We care about our student’s well-being. It is Lakeview’s top priority to feed students meals to ensure they have the best opportunity to learn every day. Through the Michigan Schools meals grant, every student is entitled to one breakfast and one lunch per day at no cost.
Our student charging policy is as follows:
For all Grades Kindergarten through 12th grade: Charging of any kind is not permitted.
A full breakfast includes: One Entree, 2 Fruits or Vegetables, and 1 Milk
A full lunch includes: One Entree with a Grain, 1 Vegetable, 1 Fruit, and 1 Milk
If the student would like to purchase ala carte items, they must have funds in their account, cash, or a check at the time of the sale.
Milk taken by itself, without a full meal, is considered an ala carte item and cannot be charged to an account.
If you wish to keep funds in a students account in order for them to make ala carte purchases, payments can be made by the following:
- Cash, check, or money order made payable to the student’s school. Please make sure your student's name is on the payment. Please put cash in an envelope or bag with your student name(s). You can pay at the school’s drop box or your student can pay as they go through the line.
- Online payments may be made in the Family Portal - https://www.familyportal.cloud/. If you don’t have an account you will need to set one up with their student I.D. number. It can be found on skyward or their report card.
For both 8th and 12th grade students, please note all balances are expected to be paid in full in order to participate in promotion/graduation activities.
If your student’s account does fall into the negative due to unforeseen circumstances, a deposit must be made immediately to bring the account current. Payment in full is expected if your student transfers out of the district or to another building within the district.
When transferring out of district or graduating with a positive balance, please contact us for a refund or if you wish to donate your balance to a student with a negative balance.
