Who is Ms. Pollard?

Hello, my name is Tracy Pollard, but you can call me sensei (sen-say) which is Japanese for teacher. I have been teaching at Lakeview High School since 2003. Before moving to Michigan to work at LHS, I taught Japanese Language for three years as a teaching assistant at the University of Colorado, Boulder, where I earned my Masters in Japanese Language and Pedagogy and teaching certification. I also have two years of experience teaching English as a foreign language at a junior high school in Japan.  I completed my Bachelors degree in East Asian Studies at Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.   I have lived in Japan for about a total of four years in a variety of locations—Osaka-fu, Gunma-ken, and Hokkaido.  I currently live in Kalamazoo with my husband and our son.
