National Honor Society (NHS) is the nation's premier organization established in 1921 to recognize outstanding high school students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. NHS membership at Lakeview High School is open to students having a cumulative career GPA of 3.5 or above. Sophomores, juniors and seniors who meet this criterion will be sent an NHS application in January of a given school year.  Students must submit the completed application and letters of recommendations to Mrs. Lincoln. Candidates will be selected for NHS membership by an NHS Faculty Advisory Committee and through evaluations supplied by Lakeview High School teaching staff. An Induction ceremony is held annually in March.
