Michigan Hispanic Caucus Youth Leadership Scholarship
Eligible applicants are Michigan high school seniors of Hispanic descent who plan to attend college in Michigan. Applicants also must have at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Applications are available in the counseling office and are due postmarked by October 13. Remember to submit to your counselor at least one week in advance.
Michigan Elks Association Gold Key Scholarship
The Michigan Elks Association is offering scholarships for special-needs students who want to pursue higher education at an accredited educational institution or a licensed vocational school. This scholarship truly represents a golden key of opportunity for special needs students. Special needs are defined as being physically or mentally challenged, as may be defined by the Gold Key Commission of the Michigan Elks Association. Each scholarship award will be in the amount of $2,000.00 per year.

Mensa Foundation Scholarship

Southwest Michigan Cesar Chavez Scholarship and Futuros Lideres Scholarship
The Cesar E. Chavez Scholarship was established to honor a great mentor and Hispanic labor leader and organizer. It's intent is to provide financial assistance to Hispanic students of Southwest Michigan. Eligible applicants are seniors with a 3.0 GPA or better who are attending a public institution in Michigan after graduation. This is a $1000 award. The Southwest Michigan Cesar E. Chavez Committee has established the Futuros Lideres Endowed Scholarship in order to support the University's diversity goals of recruitment and retention of students that meet the eligibility criteria. Michigan Education Association
Eligible students include public school graduates who will attend a Michigan public community/junior college, four-year school, or vocational training institution. Certain private schools are also accepted. Criteria for awarding the scholarship includes: academic achievement, extra-curricular involvement, and participation in community service activities. Detroit News/CATCH Outstanding High School Graduate Scholarship
24 $1000.00 scholarships are awarded annually for students in various categories considering criteria including grades, test scores, honors, and community service. Students must be nominated by their school in 1 of 11 possible categories including Athletics, Health Education, Journalism, Language Arts, Mathematics, Performing Arts, Science, Visual Arts, Vocational-technical education, World Studies, and Against All Odds. National Wild Life Turkey Federation
Students first compete for local $250.00 scholarships by submitting their application to a local chapter. All local scholarship winners will have the opportunity to compete for state and maybe national scholarships as well. This scholarship is available to students with a 3.0 GPA or higher who have hunted at some point in their lives. Eligible Applicants are high school seniors who are members of a minority ethnic group and who plan to pursue an education degree. Criteria include academic achievement, ACT scores, personal essay, and letters of recommendation. Applicants must have a 2.8 grade point average or higher. Lake Michigan Mailers Scholarship
The Lake Michigan Mailers Scholarship is awarded to an outstanding male or female graduating senior who plans to attend a four-year college or university to major in business, business management, or entrepreneurship. Eligible applicants will have demonstrated a non-weighted cumulative GPA of not less than 3.5, meaningful involvement in community service and meaningful involvement in school-based extracurricular activities.
