Each year, a small percentage of our graduates go on to join different branches of the military. We would like to be a resource for students who express interest in this option. There are a number of military branches students can join. There are various ways of getting involved with the military such as full enlistment, ROTC programs, military academies, and reserve training corps. For more details on each branch and their options, you can visit their individual websites.

Counselors are happy to help coordinate communication with local recruiters for students upon request.
Students considering the military will need to take the ASVAB, which is the standardized test required for military entry. Each fall, LHS offers an ASVAB exam date. Students can also set up exams through their local recruiter. Each branch of the military has different ASVAB score requirements for each different job a recruit might choose. Once scores are available, we have reps from the military review scores with students who took the exam at LHS so they understand what their scores mean and what their options are.
