Channel 56 News provides students the opportunity to run a fully functional TV studio. Students are able to experience all the roles involved in creating a production. Roles range from some of the up-front positions such as lead anchor or field reporter to some of the more behind-the-scenes jobs such as audio technician, floor director, and more. Students also learn how to interview, create news scripts, and develop news stories using iMovie. Students are responsible for the weekly news program that is broadcast to the school.
