  • Abby Barnett- Track, Cross country, Class of 2000. Four letters in Track.  Set school record in Pole Vault and 1300 Meter Relay.  City Champion in 1600 Meter Run. Three-time Conference champ, Regional Champ, and State Champion in 3200 Meter Relay.  All-State 2000. Four letters in Cross country. Two-Time City and Conference Champion. Three-Time MVP and Team Captain. All-State 1998, Academic All-State 1999. Four letters in Track and Cross country at Western Michigan University. Received “Rookie of the Year”, Most Improved and MAC “Athlete of the Week” honors. WMU Team Captain. Set WMU record in the 4 x 1500 Meter Relay 2003.

    Marley Bellwood- Basketball, Soccer, Volleyball, Class of 2001. Two letters in Basketball. Four letters in Soccer- All City, All-Conference, All-State, Team Captain. Three letters in Volleyball-All-City and All-Conference. Team Captain. Honorable Mention All-State 2001. LHS Athlete of the Year 2001. Four varsity letters in Volleyball at Michigan State University- 9th All-Time MSU in digs per set, 9th All-Time in digs in a season, and 4th All-Time digs per set/season. Led MSU with 4.29 digs per game 2004. Ranked 6th in Big 10 with 255 digs in 2004. Academic All-Big 10.

    Luke Lehner- Swimming, Class of 2001. Four letters in Swimming. MVP and Team Captain in 2000 and 2001. All-American- 100 Backstroke 2001. Set School Records in 100 yd Backstroke and 200 yd Medley Relay. 2nd All-Time in 200 yd Individual Medley. Ranked in LHS All-Time Top 10 in nine of eleven swimming events. All-State Backstroke in 2000 and 2001. Four-Time Conference Champion. Earned Four varsity letters at Michigan State University in Swimming. Finished 8th All-Time MSU in 100 yd Backstroke. “Most Improved” swimmer 2004.

    Steve Mitchell- Swimming, Class of 1967. Four-year varsity Swimmer. Set five school records and two pool records. 2nd Place in the State and All-American in 100 yd Backstroke in 1967. State Champion and All-American in 400 yd Freestyle Relay 1967. 1st Team All-State, Detroit News 1967. Earned two Varsity letters at Southern Methodist University. Southwest Conference Champion 100 yd Backstroke and 200 yd Backstroke 1969. All-Southwest Conference 1969. Placed 14th in the 100 yd Backstroke and 200 yd Backstroke and 17th in 200 yd Medley Relay at the 1969 NCAA National Championship Meet. Swam one season at Michigan State University- earned All-Big 10 honors.

    Kelly Parker- Swimming, Class of 1999. Four letters in Swimming. Four-time All-State- 100 yd Breaststroke, 200 Medley Relay, 200 yd Freestyle and 400 yd Freestyle Relays. Set School record in 100 yd Breaststroke. Earned Four varsity letters at Hope College in Swimming. Team Captain in 2002 and 2003. 3rd All-Time in 100 yd Breaststroke; 4th All-time in 200 yd Breaststroke. Swam at NCAA Championships in 2002 and 2003.
