  • Dick Colburn
    Teacher, Coach, Athletic Director: Coached football, basketball, tennis, and baseball. Served ten years as Athletic Director. Played baseball and football at the Ohio State University.

    Diane Davis, Class of 1988
    Basketball, Volleyball, Softball: Set five school records in basketball. All-Region and All-State volleyball, 1988. All-Region volleyball and highly successful basketball player at Huron University. Named Huron's Athlete and Scholar Athlete of the Year, 1992.

    Shannon Dingwall, Class of 1984
    Basketball, Volleyball: Basketball All-Conference, MVP and team captain. Volleyball All-Conference, All-Region, All-State, 1984. Four-year volleyball player and team captain at the University of Louisville. Dean's List Scholar. National Finalist and All-Region Sand Volleyball.

    Tim Hartson, Class of 1979
    Football, Track: Set two school track records - 100 and 220 yard dash, MVP and team captain. Ran the 100 yard dash in under ten seconds, eight times. Set school and league records as a sprinter at Albion College. Albion College track MVP and team captain. College MIAA MVP and All-American.

    Earl "Stu" Holcomb, Class of 1951
    Football, Track: MVP, team captain, All-City, All-Conference, and first All-State football player in LHS history, 1950. Named Best Athlete, 1951. Received a football scholarship to Michigan State but played football in the US Army. Coached football for 18 years at Springfield High School.

    Jennifer Shump, Class of 1991
    Tennis, Volleyball: 102-6 record in tennis. Four-time Regional Champion, two-time All-State, tennis. Three-time All-State, Volleyball. LHS Athlete of the Year and Battle Creek Enquirer Athlete of the Year, 1991. Four-year letter winner and 1st Team All-MAC tennis at Central Michigan University. Academic All-American, 1995.

    Jeff Sovern, Class of 1969
    Football, Basketball, Baseball: Team captain in both baseball and basketball. LHS Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Played four years of baseball at Central Michigan University where he served as team captain. Played professional baseball with the Chicago White Sox and Cincinnati Reds. Currently serves as Lakeview High School's varsity baseball coach.

    Jim Wallace, Class of 1986
    Football, Track, Basketball. All-State Football and captain of the All-Conference Team, 1985. All-State track. Placed second twice in state high jump competition. Still holds the school high jump record. Played football and ran track at Michigan Tech. Played football at Purdue University.
