Thanks to everyone who brought food and all the other party supplies for our classroom Halloween Party.  Everything was delicious! We appreciate all that you do!

Thanks also to all of you who have donated healthy snacks for the class.  Nobody has gone without a snack since the beginning of the year!

The PTA Meeting will be on Wednesday, Nov. 8th beginning at 6:00.

Book orders are due Monday, Nov. 13th.  For those of you who want to order online, my activation code is HWN4V.

The Spirit Wear order forms are due on Friday, Nov. 17th.

Just a reminder!  We have half days on Friday, Nov. 10th, Monday, Nov. 20th, and Tuesday, Nov. 21st.  School will be dismissed at 12:05.  There is no school Nov. 25-27th for Thanksgiving Break.

The first trimester ends on November 21st

We are currently working in Unit 2 in our math Bridges book.  This unit works with multiplication and arrays and works beautifully with our SMART Time goal of learning all of the multiplications up to 10 to prepare for 4th grade.

The students are continuing to write personal narratives. We will soon be writing about something we did for the first time or about something that evoked a strong emotion. The students will also be writing about what they are thankful for so they can share it on Thanksgiving, which will be here before we know it!!

We are beginning to read Because of Winn Dixie for our class story. Students are also continuing to do their independent reading and are meeting in reading groups to read selections at their reading level.

Students should be reading for 20-30 minutes every night at home. They should also know what books they’re capable of reading.  They shouldn’t try to read books that are too difficult or too easy.  Have your child read a page or two to you to make sure they are reading an appropriate book. J

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Please let me know if you ever have any questions or concerns about anything.   I aim to please!
